Privacy policy

Data protection is a fundamental element of BUG Verkehrsbau AG’s corporate philosophy. The scope of our privacy rules includes all customers, suppliers, and employees, and it covers all operational areas and work processes.

We do not collect or store personal information of any kind such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, or e-mail addresses on our web site except that which you yourself provide voluntarily, by, for example, requesting information using our home page. We never pass such information on to third parties.

When you visit our web site, 1&1 – our service provider – creates a temporary record of every access in a log file, as required by law.

This involves the following files being collected and written without any intervention by you or us; they are then saved until they are automatically deleted by 1&1:

  • All files retrieved by a visitor’s browser, search engines, or bots.
  • The time at which an e-mail is sent from our web space (by e.g. using a form).
  • All actions involving access using FTP or SFTP protocols will be logged.

Note: the IP addresses of visitors will be anonymised as required by the data protection guidelines for personal information by deleting the final octet at the end of the current calendar week. All other log files will be deleted eight weeks after their creation.

The content management system we are using –Typo 3 – creates a session cookie. Its only function is to store registration information so a visitor is able to access protected sections of our website. It is automatically deleted when you close your web browser. We do not use cookies to collect statistical information of any kind. If you refuse to accept this cookie (fe_typo_user) by choosing the appropriate settings in your browser you will not experience any loss of features or functionality when visiting the public areas of our web site.

You have the right to request access to your personal information, its origin, and the purpose of its processing. Please make your request in writing, by e-mail, or by using our information request form.

This privacy policy may change at any time, in particular as required by the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Teleservices Act (TMG), and/or the current data protection provisions. The version applicable in each case is the one that is in force at the time of your visit.

The contents of our web site are always carefully reviewed and prepared in good faith. We can not accept any liability for the correctness, completeness, topicality, or quality of the information provided. BUG Verkehrsbau AG will in not accept liability for any loss or damage, whether pecuniary or non pecuniary, whatsoever.

Should parts or individual terms of this document be ineffective or cease to comply, or to fully comply, with current law, all other sections shall remain unaffected as regards their contents and validity.
