Two way unit for unloading tracks (type: EMD)

The long track unloading system EMD is a powerful unit to unload tracks. The unit is equiped as a two way vehicle, you can transport it on the road and is serviceable on rail crossings direct to the track. Therefore it is more flexible than exclusive rail-mounted vehicles.
The EMD is constructed for parallel unloading of two long tracks between the tracks or on the sleeper of an existing track.

Gantry crane/portal crane Donelli PD 350

The gantry crane is ready for installing, detaching, transport and loading of railway sleeper, track yokes and tracks with own drive unit and use auxiliary tracks which are normally new tracks. During restoring or installation a blocking of the neighbouring track is not necessary.
Operating staff: two persons for two portals
The gauge of the tracks has to be 3,310 m.
The PD 350 can be used for radius up to 250 m, for slope smaller then 40 o/oo and for super elevation smaller then 95 mm with a gauge of the tracks 1435 mm, that means a super elevation of the auxiliary tracks of 220 mm. A possible existing overhead wire has to be cut off.
With a working time of 12 hours and optimal working conditions 1000 m of railways sleepers can be installed.
